It’s been a busy (and HOT) few days and I can’t wait to share more from these sessions. Just these sneak peeks for now though.

Last night, I had such a fun time shooting Lauri and Mikey’s maternity session! Lauri is an amazing photographer herself and we’ve been great friends since college, so it’s always fun to get her on the other side of the camera.
We just chatted and shot and poor Mikey had to suffer through a session quite a bit longer than I’d promised (thanks for being a good sport Mikey!).
These two could not be more in love or more adorable together and they are going to be the greatest parents. Finley is such a lucky girl to have them and I soooo cannot wait to meet her. These are just a couple of my favorites…I’ll definitely be sharing more before long. I also have a suspicion that Miss Finley will be making an appearance on this blog from time to time.

October was a FUN and busy month and gave me lots of good blog things to share…but for now here are a few previews from some of my October sessions and weddings.

Oh, and another reason for my busy October…a new puppy!!!! Her name is Vi and boy have I forgotten what it’s like to have a new puppy! I feel like every two seconds I’m getting up to see what she’s gotten into or where she’s gone.
She is sweet though and the other animals have all really warmed up to her (Mac refused to sit anywhere near her for the first week. haha!). I promise that I will try to do a proper photo session of her soon (how embarrassing that I only have this iphone photo for now!).

After postponing our original session because of a rainy forecast we eventually wound up shooting Katie & Dave’s engagement session on an extremely humid day with ominous looking clouds threatening the whole time. Oh weather, WHY have you been so bad this year?! The rain held off though and we didn’t let the sticky air stop us from having a great session. We shot at The Waterworks and The Art Museum. Even though I’ve shot there before, it is such a beautiful location that it’s always fun to explore it with a new couple.
Katie and Dave were great in front of the camera and made it really easy for me to get cute moments with the two of them. These are just a few of my favorites.

They were great at cracking each other up, which of course I love. ![]()

Twirling!

I just love this one. It’s got such a classic feel to me.

I can’t wait for the Fall wedding!
