Today is a busy, busy day! It’s the kind of busy that’s a good thing though since I’m about to head off on a trip to England and Paris with Jason! We’re catching an 8:40PM flight and we’ll be meeting my friend Amy there to travel about! I’ve never been to England or Paris and traveling in a new country is one of my favorite things to do, so I am super excited.

The plan is Bath, Cotswolds, London, Paris…in 10 days. That means that I will have LOTS of photos to post when I return. I’ll have limited internet access until I get back to the states on June 3rd though. So I’ll respond to emails as soon as possible. A part of me would very much like to bring along my laptop and purchase overseas coverage for my phone. haha. But the other, larger part of me is happy that I will have a break and also knows that Jason would kill me if I did such a thing.

On another note, yesterday I shot Jane and Ted’s beautiful outdoor wedding. They are such an adorable and genuine couple and it was a pleasure to spend the day with their families.

I’m running out the door now…but everyone have a great week and look forward to all the goodies up here when I get back.

So, as of this month, it will be five looong years since I graduated from college. Muhlenberg College to be exact. Actually, those five long years have just about flown by and I can’t believe I’m that far out of college. Blink and you’d miss it. On some nice spring days I still feel like I should be heading over to Parent’s Plaza to meet the girls or cruising around Allentown. Classy…

Anywho…this ever important anniversary has made me a bit sentimental for those less stressful days. Something about college…there were just more hours of fun and excitement in a day I think. So I thought it would be cool to share some of my photo 1 experiments in the studio doing portraits of my college friends (don’t judge too harshly…ha ha). Honestly though…these are still some of my favorite photos that I’ve ever taken because they totally take me back.

Incidentally…in these photos you are looking at a current photographer (Lauri), doctor (Rebecca), psychologist (Kira) and veterinarian (Becky). Crazy! I’m so proud of my friends!

This was definitely my first experience of really enjoying photographing people and finding it rewarding. I think that’s mostly because it was just people having fun and getting their photo taken. Can’t beat it with a stick! ha ha.

Mmm…and can’t do a ‘5 years since graduation…sigh’ post without a little cap and gown action.

I hope this trip down memory lane wasn’t too boring, but a little nostalgia never hurt anyone.

Last weekend was the beautiful wedding of Danielle and John. Even though the weather was overcast…the rain held out and I don’t think they could have had a better day if the sun had been shining.

I just love how happy they look in this photo and I wanted to share it even though the rest of the photos aren’t ready. How can I not love shooting a wedding with such beautiful and kind people as my clients? Danielle and John, you guys are simply the best!
